The Zephyr Song.

It's one of those extremely rare songs that shows how doo wop can be done in a modern way. Doo Wop is a form of street music (as is rap) that was popular in the 1950's and early '60s. It died with the advent of the Beatles and the ensuing "British Invasion". Most bands who have attempted to do doo wop have almost invariably done it with '50s or '60s sensibilities. I have always held that doo wop can sound completely modern but could never prove it to anyone... at least until the Zephyr song came out. Listen to the back-up vocals in the second half of the Zephyr Song then go back and compare with original '50s songs by doo wop artists. This is a major breakthrough.
