You can now use a CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) Laser to Etch Stainless Steel that has a normal life span of 300,000 years.

We can now etch Knowledge, Family Stories, Stories from Cultures, etc onto stainless steel and preserve in for at least 300,000 years. You can even code the stainless plates with Key codes to teach people that lauguage with photos etched and Letter Keys.

Remember, Lauguage changes with slang and the Winners of wars change to history to match their culture so I would suggest that many Stainless Memories be hidden within or under places in random areas that will degrade in less time than the Stainless Steel. So when a building or Statue crumbles in 2000 years someone or something will find the history of your culture under the rubble.

Technology is a tool when it serves its purpose whether for benefit or monetary gain. It will eventually be either modified and eliminated and become the death of a culture. Technology is reshuffling the deck when you think all the picture cards were dealt out.

Why do you say technology and traditions are incompatable. Restoration of historical relics is highly dependent on technology.

It can be used to rebuild traditional structures and hopefully make them more duriable and safe. Tradition can be combined with technology, it just has to be done prudently, wisely.
