Not a sliding glass door, however, I have become so accustomed to automatic doors at supermarkets and such, I once walked into a glass door at a store that didn't open automatically. Did I ever feel stupid. Also, my cat once tried to run outside and bounced off the sliding glass door in my house.

My little sister did when she was about 10 years old.
We had just moved into our grandparents home and It was late, and she went out side for something and she got scared from the wind blowing threw the leaves of the trees and bushes.
So Renea came running looking much like a big bird when she smacked dabbed right into the sliding glass door, landing on her hiney and ending up with a huge bruise on her forehead.
We all laughed at the sight of it and she did to only later.

My cousin and I were 7 when it happened. To this day, I can see the outline of his body as he full throttle ran into a huge plate glass window door....going on.....till he fell onto the backyard patio.
I was responsible for the accident happening.
We were alone in my house, my parents were outside doing something. The strong winds moaned through the barely cracked open windowsills.....making a haunting sound. I got my cousin worked up into believing ghosts were in the house....and we must RUNNNN!!!!!
Down the hallway we fast bolt ran. At the end, I veered right and stopped, thinking he would do the same. But he ran on. Before I could stop him, he rammed right on through that window.
I was frozen in fear, watching as he quickly got up and ran on further outside screaming. I didn't know how hurt he was.....and I felt overwhelmingly bad.
Come to find out, he was alright--only a small cut just above his right eye.....nothing else. Thank God.
We were grounded for two weeks, just after the new window/door was installed......complete with colorful window decals, which stayed on for years thereafter.

Sliding glass doors, screen doors, regular doors, glass walls that I knew perfectly well were there, I can fall up stairs and trip over stray molecules. There, it's out. I'm clumsy. Happy now? =0)

Yep, dang near broke my nose. Was just after I got glasses. Didn't see the reflection of the glass, mistook it for my lenses. BAM!! Nose first. Now I check the sill before crossing a sliding glass door.

Not a sliding door but one that you had to pull. It was so clean and no stickers and a place to eat. I wasn't hurt, only my pride. The other time I was in a shower and slipped and fell against that sliding door and the door and my self hit the floor. Wasn't hurt but my wife had a laugh after she found out I wasn't hurt.

No, but one of my brothers did. The two of them were having an arguement and the younger of the two reached out and popped the older in the mouth and ran. When the older took off after him, the younger ran out the patio doors and they slammed shut. My older brother was so angry he never even slowed down... he just went full tilt into those doors.. and busted them right out! Sliced one of his arms open and took nearly 30 stitches, and then Dad made him fork over his allowance for the next 3 months to pay for those doors! :)

no but....
i was sitting in the sunroom at my parents house with a freind watching tv.....well it started to rain and my mother came running out of her room and right into the glass door that she had just cleaned the day before....
She had to go to the hospital and have about thirty stitches, three of them were for her eye the rest were in her legs, she was ok but that was a mess and everyone was shaken by it, my brother says to this day that it sounded like a car had driven through the picture window in the living room.
