CHEERLEADING IS A SPORT
FYI people
The cheer teamI was on
were FIRST in the region FIRST in the state and SIXTH IN THE NATION!!!!!!! in the 05 (hopefully we will do even better in the 06 soon)
The football team on the other hand well...lets just say they don't have as many trophies.

Also I'm in the pop warner league these are for kids (boys and girls) from the ages 6 to like 15
and I like to see some people try to come to one cheer practice and survive

i agree....they dont even have gymnastics for crying out loud.....idk some people say cheerleading isnt a sport, but it totally is....you have to work out and be so much more flexible then a lot of other sports....so i agree with ya sister and we really should get yahoo to do a better job!!!!!

Cheerleading could with no doubt be a interest, cheerleaders are diverse the great conditioned athletes in all of events. notwithstanding i think your soreness as Lacrosse isn't a classification both, and it also notably advantages to be one.

because people think cheerleading isnt really a sport, but people dont the troubles of being a cheerleader. jumps, splits and learning all those cheers and chants, its a sport because it takes as much strengh as doing any other sport

Because it is not a sport. The "sport" is to support other sports, like cheering at a football or basketball game.

There used to be a cheerleading category in yahoo chat, but that got removed. I think they don't have it because they think it might attract weirdos instead of people actually interested in cheerleading.

because no one goes to a game to see cheerleaders. all they do is cheer for an actual sport. my gramma cheers, is she an athlete?
