It's a tie between Forrest Gump and The Matrix. Forrest Gump was just filled with a lot of interesting stories and thats why I loved it. The Matrix... well it had a lot of action and it makes you think. The sequals were horrible though.

Forrest Gump, when I first saw it I didn't like it. I didn't even watch the whole thing. I didn't understand what all the fuss was about. Then I saw it again a few years later and I watched it all the way through and thought it was pretty good. Some time later, I saw it again and really liked it. Now, it's one of my favorites. I guess some things have to grow on you.

Tough one. I'll go with Matrix, for a few reasons.

1) Set a new standard for coolness in terms of image and effects.

2) A genuinely interesting plot and premise, somethng original (not one of Hollywood's strong suits these days).

3) I see mvies for escapism, and this was it at its highest in the sci-fi genre.

4) The soundtrack rocks, and I could play the lobby scene over and over again for the music as much as the action.

5) It's cool to say "there is no spoon".

6) Carrie Ann Moss. Vinyl and leather. I think that says all t needs to.

Forrest Gump, because it still stands the test of time as a classic movie. People will be spouting lines from that flick for years to come.

Forrest Gump; I remember having a conversation with my boyfriend one night about how that guy seemed to have done EVERYTHING in that move (had bum legs, ran, college football, army, pingpong(went to China), owned a Shrimp Boat, became a millionaire, got the girl of his dreams, had a kid, etc....) and that Curious George book with the feather at the end. What a nice way to close the movie.
