I am an elementary school teacher with over 22 years experience. I live in California, work 185 days a year, have a Bachelor's degree and a multiple subjects teaching credential and make about $68,000 per year. The biggest "pro" is lots of well-deserved time off to recharge your batteries. The biggest "con" is having to put up with ignorant parents and disrespectful kids. Thankfully, most of the parents and kids are great and make teaching worthwhile to me.

I'm a resume coordinator/administrative assistant for the executives at a worldwide staffing agency. Our agency is the largest of the company's in North America and we stay very busy. I see between 4000 and 5000 resumes a week as we not only staff administrative and industrial jobs, but also engineers, scientists, IT, financial, etc. So, I get to help people get jobs. I work 40 hrs/week +OT as needs be. I'm salaried and it's not at all a bad wage, especially considering I just finished college. I'll be going to law school next fall, so it's a job to get me through the year and it allows me to play. Pros are the proximity to my apartment (about 10 mins. to work), the people I work with are awesome, it's a pretty interesting job and no two days are the same, the company pays for snacks and drinks along with Sam's Club/Costco memberships, health club memberships, health insurance, paid vacation/sick leave, paid holidays, two months of business casual (July and August), two dress down days/week the rest of the year, and a few other cool perks. It's also great because it's not a sleazy or low-end temp agency type place, so we don't get a lot of crazies. One of the VPs was negotiating a job for someone the other day at $130/hr. In fact, to even be considered for most of our jobs, you have to have at least a bachelors degree. Cons are that I have very little flexibility in my schedule as my job is one of the foundation jobs at the company and if it's not done, then everyone else gets behind. There's a lot of pressure with it and I don't have any spare time in a given day to do even a basic personal e-mail. But, overall it's a great job and I'm grateful I have it.

an average of 44 hours per week, get paid biweekly. I like the idea that my job lets me cut some slack to a decent honest person once in a while. I'm not sure that I like the idea of salary if I choose to advance to a management position...

I'm a shipper for a huge paint company, I like the job, its 40+ hrs
a week + weekends in the summer (which sucks) slow business in the winter, good $$$ but for alot of bullshit.
I can't stand the people, I can't stand the place but the $ keeps me there. If I had a damn good reason I'd be gone!

Radio - Worked in all departments - current a sales assistant... it is fun - i get to design propsales and be creative... i work with kind hearted people who have never really fit in... it is more of a laid back place to work and the free food is great! and frequent. sometimes things can get hard.. time wise.. deadlines late nights not too much but sometimes and event's sometimes promotions need that extra hand and your required to help out at station events... but hey it's a free concert or soemthing anyway so i can't say that it is even that bad. and the free stuff.. tix... cd;s... and the people most of them are really great!!!
on - air or stunt person is well listen to your radio and you tell me if you would like to just sit there and realate yourself to your town..
Deffinetly the best job ever!
