The movie is called, "Jersey Girl".
Now, don't get confused when at the video store, because there was another movie that came out in the early 90's that was also called "Jersey Girl"
The Ben Affleck "Jersey Girl" was written and directed by Kevin Smith who also wrote and directed "Clerks", "Mallrats", "Chasing Amy", "Dogma", "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back", and "Clerks II". However, "Jersey Girl" - according to Kevin Smith - is his ". . . most serious . . ." movie to date. So, if you watch - or have seen - the others don't expect "Jersey Girl" to have the same "tongue and cheek" humor as his other films. But, it's still a good movie, and it does have it's fair share of humor.
Kevin's other movies have recurring characters who his fans have followed since the release of "Clerks" back in the early 90's.
That being said, "Jersey Girl" still has a good story, and makes for a great "stay at home date movie".

jersey girl. It was by Kevin smith- poor timing what with the Beniffer stuff going on.. Luckily she is only in it in the very beginning. It didn't get the respect it deserved. Again probably the timing of it all. But if you haven't seen it do. Pretty much anything Kevin Smith does is good. But this one is no Dogma....but what is?

Definitely Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, probably Star Trek. X-Men Orgins" Wolverine, Terminator Salvation, Angels and Demons and Public Enemies will most likely wait until DVD unless someone wants to take me and pay. Be nice if they would take me to dinner too. LOL The rest I couldn't care much less about.
