The Mayans say Dec 21 2012.... Nostradamus predicts hundreds of years later?..... I know that no one knows forsure... but, do u think that its near??... as in.. our life time?

The End of the World is the same for everyone - - - - when their own conscience fades into nothingness the World has ceased to be. However - - - I'll concede that all things are possible - - - That The Wolrd known as Earth might Cease to Be then the question is would anyone know about it? Unless one accepts that there are intelligent lifeforms in The Universe who would know that Earth existed if Earth ceses to exist?

You have no idea how many times this has been predicted. Look Nostrodamus says different times according to different people who translate his words. He also predicted 2000 the world will end. It will not end until its damn well ready. You can say all the wars around are gonna cause it. This might be true, but its not the first time we have been in wars with countries with neuclear arms. ITS NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Also if you arnt convicned still. Watch Penn & Teller's Bullsh!t the subject.

Everyone I talk to about this seems to think it's quite near. I mean, all the signs for all the predictions from thousands of years ago are coming true.... so it's likely to be happening soon.

That is probably a subject that no-one wants to think about. But in reality, we have done it to ourselves. We where placed on earth as what i call science projects, just to see how long it would take us to destroy something that we take for granted. For the earth to last longer we all need to change our ways. We are all damaging the world around us through chemicals and technology. We are destroying ourselves through greed and carelessness. What do we expect the earth is not going to last forever its just a matter of time.

You should be asking the end of us ? Not the end of the world. Even when the meteorite which I believe is on the way hits us - it will still leave the globe - very dark and cold maybe - but still here ! Our demise - I think you are probably right - for one simple reason - 'saving face' seems to be more important than anything else !!!!!!!!!!

People have sworn for years that many different dates (including the beginning of this century) were THE DATES for the end of the world to occur. Obviously, it hasn't ended yet, so I don't think any other claims of "the end of the world" hold much water, either.

I'm getting back to you on the whole homosexual question! The grain of salt thing,that's in the Old Testament. There's a New testament now! The old testament is for us to see how gracious he is now a days! He struck her dead because he told her to not look back but she did! So he struck her dead! I believe it is comming but i dont think it will be what the Mayans say. but you never know it could be 100s or even 1000s of years from now...

It's all a bunch of bull.
The end of the world has been unsuccesfully predicted countless times. Even if one of them comes relatively close, it would only be by coincidence.

yeah this stuff scares me lol........the mayans were right with everything else.........the calendar and all that other good stuff
nostradamus pretty much predicted 9/11
but i honestly dont think the world is gonna end in our lifetime
