...truly because we never learn from history. Classic case in point: throughout the European wars, one lesson that was never learned: don't attack Russia in the winter. Alexander the Great tried. The Germans in both WWI and WWII tried...
Hitler's great mechanized war machine was destroyed because the Russians used a scortched earth plan, and with no food or shelter to protect them, the Germans, their animals, and machines froze or died. That was one of the major mistakes Adolph made in his war campaigns.
Lessons are there to be learned, and never repeated, but we are silly, foolish human beings. Greed, a desire for power, control, etc., make us foolish.
It's that way today, and it will be that way tomorrow.

Coincidence...
Too many things can happen. Most of them are closely related or somehow seems almost similar.
Since we keep records in papers or memories- which is the history we have gone thru, we tend to compare.
Thus, it feels as if the same thing are recurring and ppl never learn from it. sometimes... it is juz the situations...

if you noticed, history repeats itself about every 3rd generation. thats because the old people who remember the past are dying off and the young people think that they are different and don't listen to the seniors because "they don't understand the problems"

Because in general, most of the people in the world are stupid and controlled by the rich and powerful through the media and their own greed. The rich and powerful are rich and powerful because they always operate in a manner that benefits them, which the results have been proven to work (historically). In short, it's a vicious cycle of exploitation.
