I have a table of NFL teams. Given the team I want to be able to place in a cell whether it's an AFC or NFC team. Does anyone know which function I can use to do this?

Use the match function in combination with an IF statement

=IF(Match(textofwhatyou'relookingfor, tableyouaresearchingthrough,0), resulttrue, resultfalse)

Excel doesn't know about football teams. At best you can look up that info on the web, put a 0 or a 1 code, and use a script to expand them into AFC or NFC.

I need a little more details to answer that question - do you mean you want Excel to automatically remember what an AFC or NFC team is?

Just guessing, because your question is vague, but wouldn't you use cut and paste? Highlight the cell that shows the team you want, hit "Ctrl + C" (to copy), then highlight the cell in which you want to place the picture, hit "Ctrl + V" (or just hit "Enter") and it will copy into the new cell. Hope this helps.
