Yes it happened to me and I'm Mexican too. I was at Bartel Drugs when I was going to buy some milk, while being at the store I remember I needed some new back-packs for school so I stopped by the school utilities section and I saw this employee behind me "cleaning."
I thought it was bothering so I left and went to get the milk and the employee was behind me, like 3 feet away from me, but always giving me a eye. So to prove he was racist or discriminating me I went back to the school section and he followed me and asked me if I was planning to take something.
I said, "no, why" and he answered, "because you are taking too much time inside the store" and actually I had only taken about 5 minutes. So I went front desk and called manager and I sent them to court and got them law suit.
:)

I'm Irish (from Ireland!) and I spent a summer working in a bar in Myrtle Beach, SC back in 2000. I remember two customers, a middle-aged married couple, heard my accent and asked me where I was from. When I told them they wanted nothing to do with me! They wouldn't talk to me after that. I guess they were anti-catholic klans-people or something.
That's the one and only time I've experienced racism. It was really strange.
What's up with these KKK people? Don't they like anyone?!!!

Yeah, I experienced racism in school. Some kids would say things in Spanish to me then laugh at me because I didn't know what it meant. Or they'd say (not about language, just anything in general) "Oh, you wouldn't understand, it's not a white thing." Or they'd call me boring just because I'm white.

Yes, a lady came in and asked me if I spoke Spanish. I told her no. So, instead of continuing in English, she starts rambling in Spanish. I stopped her, and in the choppiest Spanish I could, I told I did not speak Spanish. She glared at me, and said in PLAIN English. "I know, I heard you the first time." I don't understand why she did that?

Yes, I have. My mom is half Arab and after the OKC bombing things got nasty. I was caled anti-American, a terrorist lover, sand n*gger, etc whenever I tried to defend my Arab brothers and sisters.
It still happens today.
