Although I'm sure this question has been asked about a zillion times, I'm just curious what people felt about it.

It was good at addressing certain issues. But there are also in my view many more great gay love storys that have not made it to the big screen. TLA Video makes many great movies so if you liked that one you should check the others out.

i thought it was a really good movie. although i felt sorry 4 Ennis and Jack cuz they couldn't live the way a man and woman did back in those days cuz if they did, some ******* would kill them if they were discovered. my favorite part of the movie was when Ennis and Jack were smooching and Ennis's wife saw them through the screen door. if i were her, i would have got the frying pan and whack the both of them but other than that, i though they should have been 2gether instead of trying 2 have straight lives. i wish they could've left their familes and move 2 Brokeback Mountain 2gether. 2 bad it didn't end with a happy ending.

I loved it... I actually cried when Jack and Ennis were having their last conversation and Ennis broke down in tears... that was heartbreaking I tell ya! I do relate to the characters alot. They love each other but they can't declare it to the whole world coz people will condemn them and perhaps even kill them for being 'queer' so living the straight life was the obvious solution. It was a simple story about love between two people (who happen to be guys) with obstacles and frustrations. And I guess it was a sexual awakening as well for each character to fall in love with the same sex. That one summer in their lives at Brokeback Mountain defined the rest of their lives forever. I was very sad and happy at the same time for the story, and yet very truthful (in today's society) in alot of ways.

I think it was a good movie. It was a love story, the acting was amazing, and it doesn't make a difference to me whether it was about a man and woman or man and man, etc. It was beautiful because of its story and the pain involved in the story for both people. Some scenes were a tad graphic, but it's also not a kid's movie. I was glad Jake and Heath were man enough and had enough about them to play parts like that.

I liked it very well. I just saw it for the first time, last week. It's a classic love story and quite sad. I think it's sad when any couple, gay or straight, are unable to be together although they long for one another. I am straight but the characters are very relatable to me. I recommend it to anyone.

I thought it was a great movie with a heart-breaking ending that I hope leaves more people more open minded about gay love

I thought that it was a brilliant love story...about two guys who didn't know what they were experiencing..I suppose it's like any gay guy when he first has a gay encounter and doesn't even have the vocabulary to deal with it......I find the movie haunting.

Haven't seen it yet and am hesitant to do so because I've already seen 'gay' movies where the gay couple loses out. Not sure I want to be disappointed again.

I loved it but it also made me upset because I have dated so many guys who hid there sexuality. It really hit home.
