Maybe my video card? I have an nVidia GeForce FX 5500 256mb video card. Its hard to explain, the people look choppy like diamond shaped holes are all over them and you can see right through them. And sometimes you can't see them at all. If its my vid card, what a really good one?

Everything else runs really smooth, the game play its self isn't choppy, the cars drive rly fast and spin around big fight and chase scenes go really quick everything works A+ except the way the ppl look.

I also went to graphics options and made it very high. There are things like antialiasing or something like that that I don't know what those mean. If you could tell me what they mean and what they should be on that would help.

In my opinion, the system requirements listed on the box for GTA: San Andreas are too low, and misleading (1 Ghz processor, and a 128 MB graphics card? Get real!!!) to increase the number of people who buy the game, BUT I think your graphics card is probably sufficient to handle the game if you tweak some of the settings. A more detailed description of your system would be helpful for answering this question (ie. Clockspeed, RAM size/type, OS, etc.)

Get a better video card, make sure opengl, direct-x, and everything is installed properly. Maybe faster processor or RAM too cuz that GeForce should be fine

I've got no Graphics card but the graphics of my game are fine. Try removing your graphics card because a similar problem ocurred on with one of my friends, though he had a powerful graphics card.

It sounds like a problem with your video card because some games I played some games on my old comp and they were running choppy but then I got my new comp with a better video card and they run much smoother... you also might want to check your RAM so your comp has more power to run more apps or larger apps faster.

Did you try going into options and making the graphics higher? That could be your problem.
