Not all vegetarians are gay: some people eat a vegan diet because they are allergic to certain meats, and thus only eat fruits, and vegetables.... I have a friend who is like that.
Not all gay people are vegetarians: I, for one, like eating hamburgers, steaks, and other types of meat as well as fruit and vegetables.
I do not know how you believe that vegetarianism is the same as tree-hugging (which is actually protecting plants), and I also do not know why you would think that people would prefer to be gay.
Regardless, I hope you find answers that suit your needs if mine aren't enough.
