i am going into my freshman year of highschool and i am 5'1". (btw i am a healthy skinny) i just want to know what others think =)

cha every girl has a diffrent shape, im 5'7'' and im also skinny but my friend is ur hight and a little on the bigger size. being 5'1'' could mean ur petite or it could mean that u r still growing either way, it doesnt matter. if u r going to stay taht hight-thats ok, jsut think u wont have to ever deal wit slow danceing wit a boy shorter then u!

It depends on your ethnic background.
There isn't any such thing as "too short"---your genes determine how tall you are; it's not like you can help it.
If you are a girl, and you are about 14, you might grow some more before age 16.
I had my growth spurt between 14-15 (grew 6 inches).

Yes, you may be short. Girls stop growing around 15 or 16. Guys still grow until 18 or 19. So, you may grow some more!

My friend who is a 12th grade senior is 5' but i was a freshman last year and their were a lot of 5'2s but 5'1 isn't that short.

You're perfect being WHO You are - - - if anyone gives you attitude or altitude you can head butt them in the nuts - - - people should be viewed as being perfect for what & who they are - - - personally I like a partner who is shorter - - - if sex & dating are a concern, you will turn on those that you are meant to entice, those that might see you as 'short' and dismiss you, it is their loss. Be tall in who you are and eventually the World will look up to you. Peace.

No you still have till your 18 years old to grow some more boys stop growning at 21.

It's certainly not short for your age and you may well continue growing in height for several years.
I was 5ft2 at your age and I'm still 5ft2 at 25. But height is not like weight, you can't control it, it is controlled my genetics.
Guys certainly are overly concerned about girls' heights, I know that much, as my hubby is 6ft2!
Please don't worry about it. I bet everyone thinks your cute!

I am a 49 year-old man and I stand 5'4". I don't think I'm too short. Height is dictated by genetics. Elenor Roosevelt said "no one can make you feel inferior without your permission".
