I thought "The Aviator" was gonna suck, cause normally I don't care for Leo DiCap too much, but I think he did an excellent job portraying Howard Hughes. I loved that movie.

1. Pearl Harbor sucks to death...the attack scene is marvelous but the love story is a bodrio.
2. Vanilla Sky reminds me of a job I had: I thought it was a dream when in fact was a nightmare and my body was rejecting it
3. New York Gangs: not a favourite
4. The Hours: read the book first, so I decided the movie should be as boring as the written stuff
5. COLD MOUNTAIN ROCKS!!!! HURRAY FOR WOMANS DIGNITY
6. 21 Grams: Directors these days try to make slower movies to say they are great...not a favourite!
7. Frida is great, a beloved one
8. Original Sin sucks to death, lousy story, lousy everything
9. Amores Perros: excellent movie
10. The Aviator: It focus on one aspect of the millionaire dude...saw it once and that was enough
So, my winner is COLD MOUNTAIN: Great story, compelling performances, awsome script, awsome direction, unbelievable finale...

I liked The Aviator the most because out of some of the bio movies that I have seen, this seemed really detailed about the life of Howard Hughes. Another reason is the great ensemble cast.

Pearl Harbor, its super long movie, but it isnt boring. I love the storyline and it has all the 4 essences of movie making. "Relationships forming or ending", "Secrets", "Ideas and Cultures", and "Making the audience Cry". Pearl Harbor didnt get a good score, kind of low, although i would say Pearl Harbor is super similar to Titanic, no idea why it didnt do better. Great movie. I'd say it isnt really about the war, but how the war affected the love triangle between the 3 main casts

From your list, I thought The Aviator was the best because Leonardo DiCaprio did such a great job playing Howard Hughes. He should have won the Oscar.
It had some great special effects especially the plane crash.

Original Sin was something I did not think I would like at all because it was very graphic and very adult. It had a good twist.
The Aviator was great and different.
