i would keep some antacids around when you eat spicy foods...i have noticed this with myself too...and i know i drink pop and it makes me burp too....also beer makes you burp...i would try and avoid to many spicy foods until you see a doctor and see if there is something wrong with your stomach......and you might have someone pat you on the back like we did our babys when they needed to burp....just a thought that i had and remembered..

That happens to me occasionally, and it feels as though you are having a heart attack. The best and fastest way to get relief is to drink quickly a good amount of a carbonated drink like Pepsi or Coke. OR take Tums. They work as well.
Good luck.

GET A BOTTLE OF PEPSI OR COCA COLA AND DRINK SOME FAST. YOU MAY BE HAVING ESOPHAGLE SPASMS. IF THIS HAPPENS ALOT SEE THE DOCTOR. THEY MAY CHEK YOUR SWALLOWING OR YOUR GALL BLADDER. CHILI IS VERY SPICY. STAY AWAY FROM SPICY FOOD FOR A WHILE AND SEE IF IT HELPS
