because we have nerves in our body,,the object hits the nerves they send impulses to our brains and voila pain,,it's to let us know there is something wrong with our body,,if we didnt feel pain we wouldnt know when to take our hand off the stove when it's hot

For the same reason anything else hurts that's not supposed to happen, getting a bruise or breaking a bone, etc. Your body is made this way, if you didn't feel the pain you could bleed a lot before you even realized you were hurt. The pain lets you know something isn't right.

Hell Yes!! Thankfully its not as bad when the blade is sharp, but hell yeah it hurts. If you get it in the stomach you want to vomit and pass out almost immediately. Maybe you need to see for yourself.
