Is Yahoo going to discontinue their IM service? I got an IM stating they are... is this true?

no, those IMs are chain messages. people just wanna see how many people actually believe it and send it to their friends. yahoo would have no reason to stop the message service.

No, yahoo. is not going to discontinue IM service, no need to worry, just enjoy yourself.
