It doesn't mean that Chelsea is bad. For them it was probably an exhibition whereas the MLS had something to prove to the world. As an American, I hope that my country can attain the same level of respect in soccer as the rest of the premier leagues around the world. This game is just a small stepping stone along the way.

Don't read too much into the result. Of course match sharpness, match fitness will surface in pre-league games what with the addition of new players - none are excuses. The critics are not Chelsea supporters so their comments are understandable and not valid. I can't see Man Utd, Reds as premiership contenders; only Arsenal have it to battle Chelsea all the way to the top.

Get over it...they lost to Barcelona, Middlesborough, Fulham, Newcastle, Charlton (on pens), Liverpool, Man U.

And then they make excuses for losing to the MLS all-stars:

"Lacking sharpness following the heavy schedule of two-sessions-a-day training, Chelsea went down to a second-half goal to the MLS All Stars before a capacity 21,210 crowd in the new Toyota Park Stadium tonight, Saturday."

For crying out loud, they've spent 350m on players, and Ballack and Shevchenko are on 130,000 a week; and then they lament their lack of sharpness.

Pathetic.

So that just goes to show what I keep on saying, they are paying silly money bringing in these new player`s who obviously can not play well together, maybe they all need to go to a Language School and all learn one Language then they would know what is being shouted to them, Anyway apart from that, they can lose games and will lose games. It just goes to show a team has got to play together, not be a lot of prima donna`s.

.Yep, I think is because of the stadium, away game and the game didn't move fast like the premiership. Chelsea just got together not less than a week and mls is half season already.
