answer to (1) is choice (a) i.e.6 as 3 ft/6"=6
answer to question (2) is 16" and 12 inch^2 as the sides which satisfy the conditions are 12 inch and 4 inch in which case the perimeter will be 32' and the area 48 ft^2 and now applying the scale the sides will be 6" and 2" which will mean a perimeter of 16' and an area of 12 inch^2
