without being probed, it is nearlt impossible to tell the differance between sexes.your best bet would be to keep a large number of the same species together in a species only tank.the water parameters will need to remain a constant 100% perfect, and the tank will need to be quite large in order to have any hope for breeding.good luck.

I have never kept lawnmower blennies or any saltwater fish, but from everything I have read, I think it is very difficult to sex marine fish. Unless you are very experienced with marine tank setups I would not worry about whether or not you have a pair. I don't think they will breed in a home marine tank unless it is very large and the water conditions are perfect. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
