not pass on so they don't suffer.

my grandpa was sick and my aunt Sheri {no relation to each other} makes the comments. " he should just to give up life so the family can be at piece". I just want to yell at her. you stop breathing. my opion is anyone to expect someone to give up on life is just sinacle.

it is too bad when people say that. i can understand why they would say that. my problem is when people are selfish with their relationships with people, such as "so that family can be at peace."

That's a good point. And I totally understand your response to your Aunt's comment.

To play devil's advocate though, some people really suffer in the days, weeks, sometimes years before they pass on. When you love that person, you just don't want them to hurt. I would have thought that your Aunt Sheri would have made the comment so your Grandpa could be in peace, not your family. Relatives are really tough to deal with sometimes. I hope your Grandpa is better. Miracles happen every day.

Well funerals and weddings do bring all dysfunctional families
together. that's the way it is whetheryou like it or not . Maybe what your aunt meant to say it's just like him to give up on life so the family can be at peace. Your grandpa had the noble motive . your aunt as cynical as the remark could be tells the truth.

I think u should ask her the true meaning of her statement.

Sometimes u can see a person who is suffering a lot and of course you also suffer with that person and u know that even tough u dont wish death to people, you have to accept that the death can be inevitable.

I had a friend who died of lupus, a kind of leucemia, she was very young (26 years old), of course i didnt want her to die, but she suffered to much and keep fighting and fighting until her body couldnt resist. Nobody closed to her wanted her to die but when she did at less we knew she wasnt going to suffer anymore that she already did.

what a crass and brutal statement.

hopefully she's taught HER children what to do to her if she's ever clinging to life like all humans do-

PULL THE PLUG ON HER!!!

Sounds like she is a nut. You should have told her to shut up. That is freaky.
