Israel was very upfront and forward about the actions they would take if their soldiers were not returned. yes i do , because for the past 60 years of living among us , they never stop aggression , begain with stealing the arabian lands , by money , then terrorism , then influence in Britain who was mandated in Palestine , then by wars and in every war (if they call it defensive) they don't just defeat the attacked army , but occupy new lands form the surrounding countries , creating new unsolved problems with those countries , then claim those lands are part from israel , so no peace can come .

What have YOU been smoking? Are you suggesting that Israel STARTED bombing civilians (over 1000 by now), because Hezbollah started shooting first?

Israel started, because 2 israeli soldiers (not civilians) were kidnapped to be used as leverage to release the many palestinian people in Israeli jails, many still underaged, without fair trial, against international laws and treaties, with condemnation of human rights groups, very similar to prisoners in guantanamo.

And this justifies killing over 1000 civilians, of which almost half children, many under 10, babies, women, children, killed in their sleep, with so called extremely accurate laser guided missiles and satellite images, so you can be sure they were not accidents?

Israel removes settlements on one side, while allowing new ones to be be built on another side of occupied palestinian land.
Israel continues to humiliate and make daily life difficult with check points, very similar to nazis in Germany, exercising unnecessary control, for morbid pleasure, on a daily basis, on palestinian land.
Israel continues to dictate its own rules to palestinians on their own land.
Israel continues to defy more than a dozen UN resolutions, despite having the USA as their accomplice to protect Israel against all laws of justice with its vetoes.

And they did not shoot rockets to Israel until AFTER Israel started shooting and killing innocent civillians by the hundreds, while INVADING Lebanese land.
