I was listening to some music when my cd rom just stopped playing , all of a sudden I couldn't open the tray and my computer states that there is no cd rom available, Please help.

stick the point of a paperclip in the hole by the drawer. This is what we were taught in class.

use a paper clip to open it thru the tiny hole at the bottom of cd rom

Take a paper clip, straighten it and poke it in the little hole on the front of your cd unit.

I was going to mention the paper clip trick, but I see that there is no such hole on my new computer. You might have to go into control panel and remind your computer the hardware is there. But try rebooting first.

Best thing is use a paper clip.
