That is annoying join the club... hehe... I mean people that are "sarcastic or put others down" at serious questions are just answering you questions to get 2 points off of you... the points are not the reason people should answer peoples questions, its should be about sharing your intellect with others and helping people out with thoughts that they don't understand fully. If your not going to answers someones question for the purpose of helping her/him, you shouldn't answer questions at all. (not you, people in general)

I kinda like it. As long as the stupid answer is witty. There are some questions that have to be answered with a sarcastic comment. I do it very often- some people are asking for it. People have to have some sense and realize that a bunch of morons and illiterates with little or no experience are answering serious questions.

I find it unfortunate that humor comes in the form of put downs and sarcasm. Its not the best kind of funny.
In any case serious questions are often reduced to getting... 2 Pt's .. and well to be honest.. it makes little sense because if the question interests someone they would get the same 2 Pt's had they just gone through a list and kites the same dumb answer to a multitude of other questions..
No I think its more of the fact people cannot express themselves in a serious and truthful manner. But you do get lucky once in awhile someone... does give a damn and answer on more then one occasion on here I'm pleased to say.

The variety of questions that get plenty of solutions and the questions that do not are a bit disturbing. I desire extra persons had the restraint to only now not reply a few Q's on account that then the peoplel asking them might simply leave. BQ - the ones instances while you suppose like facet of a small Y!A organization and everybody is having a laugh and getting a well giggle.

Sometimes it is hard to tell when questions are serious or not. But alas, if you ask one you should be prepared for a sarcastic answer.

I think it can be irritating, but sometimes after you get through reading some of the obnoxious questions, it's easy to get a little hostile. Plus sometimes you might think someone is being serious, but then you see their other questions and you see they are really just playing games.

I think its ok to joke if followed with a serious response, any true deviance is against the guide lines set forth by yahoo answers.

If you are trying to solve a serious problem, yes, it is annoying. But it does add some spice to the answers...
