my mom doesnt want me to use freakin tampons and i want to because with pads i feel SO uncomfortable and i dont know how to convince her! help!

She is probably worried about toxic shock syndrome or that they would make you lose your virginity. If it is the first one, have her go to the doctor with you and your doctor can explain how there are much fewer risks now than there were and how to prevent it. If it is that you would be inserting something in your vagina other than something belonging to your husband, I would say to sit down and talk to her about it after you have talked to friends with similar backgrounds and beliefs that do use tampons.

Hmm, that is a dilemma...I've heard that gynecologists actually recommend tampons to pads & they're the pros in that department so they must know what they're talking about! Tampons are definitely way more comfortable & a lot cleaner. However, your mom might be concerned about the risk of TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) so tell her how you feel & hopefully it works. Although if she still won't let you & you feel you are more than capable to use tampons responsibly then hey, it's your body, they cost like $3 & the instructions are in the box!

I feel for you...when I started my periods..a very long time ago..when you still used a belt with a pad..I hated them and thought everyone could see them...
Ask your mom why she doesn't want you to use tampons...maybe she needs some education about them.

I understand how U feel, when I was your age my mom didnt want me using tampons b/c she thought it would take my virginity. You have to explain to her that they are safe and that young women can use them. Sit her down and talk to her, some parents are really old fashion.

Tell her that you feel that way. But with tampons you risk Toxic shock syndrome. better off not taking the chance

Why do you need her permission just buy a box of junior tampons, read the instructions and your mom will never know...

make stuff up too, like you dont like wearin pads to school etc lol

well i dont like to lie..so tell her how you feel, like say i cant swim, i cant play sports, or gym...tell her how uncomfortable you are and be responsible about it be like mom i'll be carefull trust me...
