"If A is success in life, then A equals X + Y + Z. X is work, Y is play and Z is keeping your mouth shut."
"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.” -Charles R Swindoll
"There is no beautifier of complexion, or form, or behavior, like the wish to scatter joy and not pain around us. 'Tis good to give a stranger a meal, or a night's lodging. 'Tis better to be hospitable to his good meaning and thought, and give courage to a companion. We must be as courteous to a man as we are to a picture, which we are willing to give the advantage of a good light." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Who are a free people? Not those over whom government is reasonably exercised, but those who live under a government so constitutionally checked and controlled that proper provision if made against its being otherwise exercised. – John Dickinson:
Farmer’s Letters, VII.
Where is the heart that doth not keep,
Within its inmost core,
Some fond remembrance hidden deep,
Of days that are no more?
Ellen Clementine Howarth: ‘Tis but a Little Faded Flower, 1864.
An Atheist is a man who destroys the chimeras
Which afflict the human race, and so leads
Men back to nature, to experience and to
Reason.
P.H.D. D’Holbach: Le systeme de la nature, XXVI, 1770.

"I have a dream, that one day. My children will one day live in a nation where they are not judged by the colour of their skin. But by the content of their character."
Martin Luther King Jr.
Martin Luther King is amazing. That guy was arrested around 30 for sticking up for his mates and never gave up, he was a determined, resourceful, peaceful man who is my hero. The idiot who shot him does not have a heart. This is a brilliant line and speech that perfectly resembles Martin Luther King. He shows us that violance is not the way to solve problems! Martin Luther King Jr. is the greatest!
