I have 11 week old twin daughters and can't wait to see them start to look at eachother and smile and coo like they do at me and my husband.

in the womb

My girls are almost 7 months old now, and when they were born they would not sleep unless they were touching. They went through 2-3 months where they seemed oblivious to each other. But for the last month or so they play together, steal each other's toys and bottles and even at 6 months old they seem to "talk" to each other. They are not identicals, but very close in size and development (firsts are within days of each other). About 5 months old is when my twins got to be soooooo much fun to watch them. (at about 4 months, put a pillow in a laundry basket with a baby sitting up at each end, put lots of toys between them and see what they do) Good luck the fun (and work) has just begun!

They usually start interacting with each other inside the womb. Some twins may take a while longer, like single babies every set of twins is different than the next set of twins. If you would like them to interact more just let them lay on the ground or in ther play pen together more. Good luck with your twin girls.

Twins interact from the git go. In the womb. They are each part of the other. Some share the same egg, the same placenta. They share the same total environment. I've seen photos of twins sucking each other's thumbs in the womb.

My twins started interacting in the womb. After they were born, we put them in the same crib (and then cot) until they were about 6 months old, and then we had to put their cots touching. They always snuggled up together and were incredibly aware of each other. I remember waking up one morning when they were about 4 months old to them giggling at each other.

They have their squabbles like everyone, and they go through that "What's yours is mine, what's mine is mine, if I think I might want it its mine, if you want it its mine" stage, but now I have two singleton children as well, I'm noticing how much quicker the twins started to interact with others.

When they are wombmates. They will most likely start pinching, biting and slapping each other before they smile at each other. LOL! I know, I am an identical twin female and me and Twissy beat the holy crap out of each other but if separated, we would scream until we were put back together and we would start with the violence again. LOL! Happy to report at the age of 35, we stopped beating each other up. :)

whenever you leave the room.

the sit up,
laugh at you behind your back,
and speak in perfect english about how the weather is, and, you know, little stuff like the meaning of life....

but seriously,
id imagine in the womb...
like "ouch you kicked me" and "your fist is in my back"

before they're born, they may not express a verbal bond but you can be sure there is a bond there
