I love Reggie White. He was the single best DE in the history of the NFL in my opinion. No he no longer holds the sack record for voerall in a career. But he holds the Packers all-time sacks record AND the Philly Eagles all-time sacks record. He went to 13 CONSECUTIVE Pro-Bowls. Won a Super Bowl.

But to me it means so much more then just his on-field contributions. He was a minister and always thought about others first. He never held grudges and loved life as it was. There is so much more to be said, but I only have so much time.

Sara (his widow) and Jeremy (his son) had great speeches today, and his legacy will live on forever. God Bless the White Family and God Bless Reggie in heaven!

Your Thoughts on Reggie's Induction?

Lmeister, thanks for your good words on Reggie. It is a shame he had to leave this Earth at 43. Although he lived a full and very successful life as Football Player, Husband, Friend, Dad, and Person.

I also wish he would've stopped after Green Bay, but if it made him happy to play with the Panthers, more power to him.

I've been a Cowboy fan my entire life, so I got to see Reggie White twice a year for way too many years. He was absolutely phenomenal. It didn't matter how you played him, he would find a way to disrupt your offense. That is a sign of a great player. He was always a good sportsman, always humble, and played the game the way it should be played. You could see his passion for the game. Not only that, he was an outstanding human being as well. He also went to the Green Bay Packers when Green Bay was not a place where free agents went. He single-handedly changed that franchises fortunes. As much as I hated his teams, I always had the utmost respect for him. It was great to see him inducted into the HOF today. That is truly where he belongs.

Well, JD, you basically summed it up. If it weren't for the Minister of Defense, Green Bay wouldn't have been able to put it together and win Super Bowl XXXI, a game in which Reggie sacked Patriots' QB, Drew Bledsoe, a Super Bowl record three times. Heck of a player on the field, heck of a man off the field. Too bad he had to end his season at Carolina and not in Titletown.

Reggie White deserved to be in the HOF as much as any player ever. Don't listen to the ridiculous Favre fans, White and the defense were the real reason the Packers were great in the late 90s.
