or at least know of our existence?

Since we've not found life off the planet, we're guessing. However, since finding life around thermal vents in the ocean that runs off the heat of the earth rather than photosynthesis it is a good be life will arise elsewhere.

Have you heard of the Drake Equation? It tries to estimate the probability of intelligent life in the universe. Most reasonable estimates indicate there is a good probability there are other intelligent beings in the universe.

HOWEVER, it is pretty unlikely they're aware of our existence. We've only started to leak intelligent emissions in the last 70 years or so, and these travel at merely the speed of light. 70 light years isn't very far by the standards of the universe, so they probably don't know about us if they're out there. The SETI (search for extra-terrestrial intelligence) program has been going on for about 30 years now. They've not discovered any evidence of intelligent signals.

Hi. Yes, I believe other planets have or had life, maybe even in our Solar system. But there is a HUGE difference between life and intelligent life. And a huge difference between intelligence and technical skill. Also, all the physical laws would hold for them (as far as we know), limiting the speed with which they could travel. If the question is about visits within the last century or two, my guess would be no. Could or do they know about us? Possibly. We have made enough electromagnetic noise to get the attention of a race that was listening and close enough.

I believe, based soley on the mathmatical probability. But a belief is not the same a a fact. People believe many far fetched notions. But believing in something doesn't make it real. So far we have no facts to support the belief so really it is only conjecture, at this point. And no I don't believe that they have been here. And no, they do not know of our existence.

Statistically there are millions of other planets with intelligent life.but doubtful any have been here. The distances are too vast.

Traveling a million miles/day it would take over 70,000 years just to get to the next star.

If they're aware of us they would need to be within a radius of 70 light years and picked up an old radio transmission. Possible but unlikely.

I think it is possible. If what the religious types say is true then each time an angel showed up on Earth; aliens have been here. The technical term for alien is something that is not indigenous to this planet.

Yes---I do believe that there is considerable life on several other planets............
And I believe that at least five other species have not only been here ---but at least three are here right now !!!
