Maybe this is a silly question, but here it goes:
I am using the Companies House (UK) online service. I want to appoint the company's secretary as a director but also want him to remain secretary. In the online form 288a, do I tick the box which says "Director" or "Director&Secretary".
In my view I should tick "Director" as he is already the secretary. But I just wanted to be sure. Thanks.

as you appreciate someone can be both jobs, your idea is right, tick director, there is a separate form 288b to remove that person from office
