I have found several wallets over the years and always turned them in. I believe in karma.

Honestly, If there wasn't an I.D. in it i would keep it. I mean, what are the odds of that same person coming back to the airport for a while. Once they had landed they would have found that their wallet would be missing and they would go back for just $150 because it would cost them more to just go back with the cost of the flight. I'm not selfish or anything I would just act smarter than a person who would put it in the lost and found.

Give it to the lost and found.
What if you were the one that lost your wallet and someone stole rather then turned it in and that was all the money you had left to get home. Now you are stuck at the air port with no money and no where to go but you keep checking the lost and found, BUT guess what someone took your wallet.... Now what?

I wouldn't care if it had $1.50 in it. If it had an ID, I would try to contact the owner or turn it in. You never know, what if it was that person's last amount of money. Shame on the person who said if there was no ID it was rightfully yours. I hope that when and if you or someone you love has lost their wallet, especially if it was their last amount of money, someone is dishonest like you and doesn't return it. Where are your morals? Check the lost and found, perhaps you lost them and someone was kind enough to turn them in. Obviously, they were the last you had.

I would take it to the lost and found. It's the nicest thing to do any way. For if you lost your money in an airport wouldn't you feel peace of mind to collect it all intact in the lost and found? besides you never know when that money could be someone's last meal or money to help someone with a terrible illness and they need the money for medicine. Think about it.

Give it to the lost and found. Hey! I'd want someone to do the same for me if I lost my wallet!

Yes, absolutely. If you lost your wallet at the airport I know you'd hope that if someone found it they had the integrity to turn it in.

I found one. I have NO idea how much $ it had in it. When I opened it, I saw the driver's license of the owner. It belonged to my neighbor in the apartment building. I hid it under his welcome mat. Later in the day, I called him, and told him what I had done. He was SO happy when I saw him. He had taken his pregnant wife to the hospital the day before, and returned in the wee hours of the morning (false alarm). He was so tired, he had no idea he had dropped it.
NO amount of money in the wallet would have made me as happy as seeing the look on his face. No, he didn't give me a reward. Think about it. You're young, not making much, about to have a child, and something like that happens. What would you have done?

I would keep it, but I have a friend who found one in the street, took it to the local council (Hungary). There she was told if nobody comes to ask for it for one year she could keep it. When the one year was over she went back for the purse, they gave it to her, and kept the money, bought something for her 5 children from the cca 50 dollars. How do you like this story?

I would look in front of me, see if anyone was frantically checking their pockets, and if not, turn it in immediately. I couldn't take money in that kind of situation because you never know how long it took for that person to earn $150, or the specific things they are going to need it for. I couldn't live with myself keeping it.
