numerator = 28/5
denominator = 21/10
so ratio = 28*10/21*5 = 4*10/3*5 = 8/3

28/5 to 21/10

28/5 X 10/21=56/21 = 8/3

Ratios are generally not supposed to be mixed numbers so you shouldn't change it to 2 2/3

1) The easiest way is to change both number to improper fraction. Like this:

5 3/5 into 28/5 and 2 1/10 into 21/10.

2) Then make sure both numbers have same denominator. Like this:

28/5 into 56/10 and 21/10.

3) Find the greatest common factor (GCF) of these numbers. 56 and 21 is 7. So divide them by that number.

56/10 into 8/10 and 21/10 into 3/10.

4) Finally reduce both numbers if possible.

8/10 to 4/5 and 3/10.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So the answer is
4/5 to 3/10

Hope this help!

well heres an easier way to break it down. change the fractions to a mixed number so you have 28/5 : 21/10 then you reduce the fractions from there. my result was 5.6 : 4.2/5 you might want to try it yourself - i'm not sure if i reduced it right.
