I have a Compaq Presario (same company, basically same laptop) and after a while my battery would no longer hold a charge. I had to buy a new one. HP has sales on their batteries every now and then so watch for them.

Using a HP Pavilion right now. I am disappointed with battery life, but I've never had a problem with it actually charging.

Well, I have a ZD7030 US Laptop and have had problems with the board where the power cord plugs in becoming loose and it will not work. It has been to HP 7 times. HP will not warranty as a lemon and Circut citys extended warranty is worthless as used toilet paper! Warranty was supposed to be good until Jan 23,2008
