Not usually as a regular instrument in a symphony orchestra. But there are many pieces which require a piano to be played with the orchestra (e.g. concertos), and in such cases the piano usually occupies centre-stage. If not required later in the program, it is kept to one side of the stage or removed altogether (during the interval).

On the (very) few occasions that the piano is played throughout the concert, it is kept to one side so as not to obstruct the view of the other players. And, may I add, a classical concert is as much a visual experience as an aural one.
