Lumpy breasts are very common in girls and women. In most cases, breast lumps are not a sign of breast cancer. Teenagers, both girls and boys, will often feel a lump called an "adolescent nodule." An adolescent nodule is a sore, swollen spot just under the nipple that will go away without any medical intervention. Although breast cancer is very rare in teens, anytime you feel a lump it's a good idea to have it checked by your health care provider.

Is your lump like the adolescent nodule described? Is it in the right place? Is it sore? Look on the web site again and find out how long these nodules last. You do not need to worry yet. If you can talk to your mom, I would let her know what you found out on-line about the adolescent nodule. If your lump is different, you may need your mom's help in making a doctor appointment. i have them too im 19 and have more mamograms then a 60 yr old woman they usually stay dormant and disappear if one grows become sore or stays for to long make sure u get to the dr otherwise u should be fine

Yes, i was so scared but i got that 3 years ago when i was like 9 and didnt know what it was and still have it and am worried because it hurts.
