I was helping out my mom gardening when I found a class ring from 1987 which is the same year that I was born and that it belong to a girl named Aurora Gonzalez (found the name on the inside of the ring). What I want to do is find this person and give it to her personally. A class ring is a very important memory for most people because of senior year and all they went through to graduate (including myself) and I just want to help in giving her back that memory. The school where she went is in the same city I live in. Where do I start looking for clues to find this person?

They will probably be a 20 year reunion next year for her class, that would be one place and a great surprise. However, go to the local high school where she graduated or http://www.classmates.com

That's a great find, and so nice of you!! You should start at the school. The school may have a record of where she is living now, schools usually keep lists of alumni addresses. If you could get a hold of the person who is in charge of the class reunions, that would be great because they would have an e-mail address or mailing address. If this is a dead end, then start looking through phone books and www.switchboard.com and google.com. The problem is that if she is married then her name changed. You can search through http://www.intelius.com/ search by maiden name, age (she would be around 37 now), and/or location. It will cost you around $10-20; I've done this before to look up people and it's quite good. If you are still at a roadblock, then go to the school library and go through a yearbook. Find out what clubs she was in, what friends she had. If you can find her friends (preferably male ones whose names do not change) then you can look them up -- they might know something. Finally, why I didn't I think of this before, since she lived at your current address you could go around the neighborhood, ask your neighbors if they remember a Gonzalez family living there and see if they know where she went, at least what city. Good luck, and keep us posted on this question (maybe add a comment later) if you find her.
