yes si did he changed he name in court because he married a ldy who had kids and didnt want them to be confused as to why they all had different names

Yes it is a rare case though.
It happens alot when a woman is in a better finacial situation than the man ..when the woman is more well known ... alot of the time it is when a woman marries a younger man.
I think that it is a great liberation for women and I wish that my hubby would take it when things become all good and legal cause I sure as hell am NOT taking his.
The children have my last name now and when it is all legal they will have hyphenated names.

yes i have. I haven't heard of a man changing to his wifes name but I know of two people who got married and changed both their last names to a made up last name. I thought it was a great idea.

I've heard of two cases--both men legally changed their last names to that of the wife's because neither woman had brothers and the families (of the women) wanted male heirs to carry on their name. Both men had brothers of their own, so they didn't see this as a betrayal of their own families.

It's rare but it happens. Usually when the wife is well known or makes a lot more money than him.
