In the question "I want to lose waet", your answer was inappropriate. Consider this. My 12 year old son is dyslexic and cannot spell. No incentives, no cajolling, nothing on this earth can make him spell. What if the person who wrote that question has the same problem. How do you think that made her feel? Didn't your family teach you compassion???? Think before you speak

1. Don't waste your breath on ignorant people.
2. One would think we are all writing for the Pulitzer prize
judging by the comments on grammatical errors and
misspellings.
Some people should concentrate more on the content and
less on the grammar. It will make for better answers.
3.Not every one on yahoo is from the U.S.
Keep in mind that English may not be their mother tongue.
Rather try and make them feel welcome and show some
understanding.
Ridiculing these people is a sure sign of immaturity and or
low self-esteem.
Compassion can not be over rated.

Dear, there are way too many people on this site who cannot spell, for this problem to be explained by dyslexia. Instead of using incentives or cajoling (not cajolling) parents have an obligation to see to it that their children begin to read, on their own and purely for pleasure, by the age of seven. Those who don't will not be able to spell by age twelve, because they have never meaningfully engaged with the written word.

If you've got any children who are younger, stop making excuses for yourself and for them. Help them find books they enjoy, turn off the TV, and do some reading yourself. They'll model their behavior on yours.

I raised a special child and when he walked at 3 you would have thought he had done it before a year old to someone else. Dyselxia is nothing to what I have lived through. And just in the last through years mainstreaming has started intermingling special kids within regular classrooms and I am seeing the difference and the kids are doing it themselves were not teaching it our generation was cruel. Fortunately for some they don't feel the pain like we do for them. Compassion is not taught it is a god given gift. :-)
