You have a worn out faucet washer or more serious problem. Turn of the valve under the sink. Put the stopper in the drain so parts won't fall down the drain pipe. Look at the end of the faucet stem where the rubber washer is. Gently remove the screw holding the washer on. If you can't do this, or the screw is to corroded, take the faucet stem to a hardware store to make sure you get the correct new one.
Look into the area where the faucet washer seats. It should be brass colored. There may possibly be a narrow black channel. If there is, a new washer won't fix it. There are two sizes of tool to remedy this. They attach into a drill motor like a drill bit. You can buy them at the hardware store. Gently press against the faucet seat and check to see if it has been ground down enough to eliminate the channel. You may have to do this a couple of times. You don't want to remove any more material than is necessary. A couple of thousandths of an inch will do it. Good luck!

It could be a worn/defective washer in the faucet,
or it could be a leaking hot water supply line.
You need to crawl under the sink and watch where it's dripping from.

Good luck,
Bruce

PS. If it's the supply line, they are univesal.
If it's the faucet we can't give you details because every brand works different.
