Can baby have kiwi, strwberries, blueberries- any fruit besides citrus fruits? I started trying others when he quit eating bananas and apple dices, or diced peaches. I just want variety ideas because he likes one thing one day and not the next. And are all veggies ok at this age?

The most allergenic fruits are citrus and berries, so you may want to wait on those. Anything else is probably fine.

Variety is a good thing, but here's a few things I figured out:

Introduce one new food at a time. Don't overload them. If they have a reaction, you'll know the culprit. Strawberries are a common allergen, so keep an eye on that one for a reaction especially.

Citrus fruit (and juice) like orange tends to be too acidic for babies and toddlers. My kids found this out the hard way when they'd consume oranges or orange juice and then they'd end up with a diaper rash. It wasn't allergic, it was just tender bottomed.

Veggies are a great thing. Just remember, at his age, they have to be cooked and preferably mashed, strained, or pureed.

As a mother of a 9 month old also I suggest trying one fruit at a time...wait a week before you try another. No berries, I learned that my daughter was allergic to blueberries when I gave her gereber apples and blueberries and she broke out in hives, so I stay away from berries in general until she can tell me when she isn't feeling well...My daughter loves watermelon and pears. She also likes mango and papaya. Be cautious and vigilent on what you try, especially if he has any allergies. Vegis are a great idea. My daughter loves green beans cut into small pieces. She also likes potatoes mashed...peas are hard to self feed b/c of the size.

Fruits and veggies are great foods for your baby :)
A nine month old can pick up little pieces with his fingers all by himself - which leaves you free to eat your own meal :)

Citrus fruits are a bit acid, and should be avoided before at least twelve months. Citrus includes oranges, grapefruits, lemons, uglyfruit, manderins, tangerines, and yes, also strawberries and kiwi!

Blueberries are fine, but do cut them in half to avoid any risk of choking.

My youngest son ate all kinds of fruit when he was that age. He especially loved watermelon, which kind of surprised me. Just make sure you cut things up pretty small, as I know you already know. :) Also, give the fruit with seeds (strawberries, kiwi) to your son less often than those without seeds. Even the tiniest seeds can upset a baby's stomach when eaten in excess. As for veggies, as far as I know they can have most any of them, except for corn-- too big of a choking hazard. When my son was 9 months old I alternated between the Gerber strained veggies in a jar and fresh veggies mashed with my fork. I didn't totally take him away from jar baby food until he was a year old. He was also a huge fan of mashed potatoes. Hope this helps you out. I don't know if all mother's will agree with what I wrote, but I am simply sharing what I learned with my son and what worked for us. :)

Pretty much every fruit, but make sure they're not allergic.

I don't feed my son too many fruits yet. I feed him vegetables more. He's 5 months. I feed him homemade banana puree, and home made apple sauce.
Vegetables are better for babies. Vegetable allergies aren't that common and vegetables aren't very acidic. They are also filled with nutrition are good for baby.
My son loves the celery cabbage carrot puree I make him. I use boiled vegetables from home made soup and chicken vegetable broth and put them in the blender.

I think anything as long as you introduce one fruit at a time about every 3-4 days. The baby safe feeder (sassy makes one too) is what I used when giving my babe fruits, you stick them in the net and they suck on the fruit.

Watch the watermelon and grapes, as they can cause diarrhea, if they eat too much of it.
