just make like you're washing clothes but don't put any clothes in it, add a little more soap and bleach and just before it starts to drain stop the washer and wash the insides good with a towel or something. if you use hot water it helps cut grease, but it also is real hot on the hand when you wash the insides out so becareful.

First wipe out with a damp cloth. Put 2 cups of vinegar in machine and turn
it to the hottest water cycle and run normally.
You could also pre rinse clothes in your machine before using wash
cycle, we also have amazingly dirty clothes.

You might try to start a load of wash, put nothing in it but the laundry deter. and let it runn all the cycles. You may have to do this more than once between loads to get everything out, but that should wash and rinse everything away that your welding clothes have brought into the washer.

Go to your local rental equipment center and purchase a bottle of their cleaning solution that mixes with water and pour the whole thing in there and your washing machine will be shiny and spotless.
