The masters world record in the M50 group (age between 50 and 54 years) is 11.48s. 15.65s would give you a 14th place in your age group at the European Veterans Championships that took place this year in Poznan, Poland.

Anywhere between 15-18 seconds is good. However, I must concur with the 1st answerer, sprinting at this age is not a very good idea.

Your heart naturally slows down, to coerce it into pumping faster for sprinting isn't wise. It may suddenly lose its' rhythm and cause a mild or serious attack.

Go for brisk walking or slow jogs. The heart rate here will be more systematic and consistent.

Anything less than 25 seconds is good. less than 20 is very good, 15.65??? outstanding for an amatuer runner let alone someone 53 years young. Kudos to you.

Look up world record for your age and anything within 50% is good with out training.

I checked out results from a half dozen Senior Olympics meets across the U.S.

The winners there were running in the 12.00-13.00 range.
The best time I saw was 12.00

well considering professionals do it in 10 seconds or so i'd say that was a decent time for an amature.

but more over good on you for getting into shape.
