If you are a Baby Boomer, it should.
What other phrases do you remember parents telling their kids back in the 50's and 60's?

ROFL!! Y'all are making me laugh! I never found out what that might be (something to cry about)... but it sure got my attention and made me stop crying.

I guess some of us must have passed that on when we raised our own kids!

Y'all heard it in the 80's and 90's too?!??!

I was born in the 80's and my mother said that to me all the time. That, and "Keep talking, and I'm gonna knock your head off your shoulders."

Oh hell yes... it usually came shortly after "BOY! Go out to the woods and cut me a switch!!" How cruel and unusual was THAT!?! To make me go and fetch the instrument of my own punishment? Brutal.... just brutal.

"You want me to come back there?", "Dont make me turn this car around", "want more chores?", "wait till your parents hear about this one", "wait till your father/mother get home", "I brought you into this world, I can cure as hell take you out of it", "If yo do that, Santa will bring you a bag of charcol and some switches for your behind". Mine usually came after "GD-it!! get your *** over here" lol. I use to have to pick the switches off of a peach tree when there was no belt to use.

Another classic I liked was "do you want a spanking?" Seriously, what kind of an answer was expected to that question?
