When trying for a baby you are trying for exactly that, not a particular gender. There are no cast iron guarantees on things like that.

It comes down to when you have intercourse. It is the sperm that determines the gender.
The male sperms have longer tale, so swim faster. Therefore if the egg is present, that is you have ovulated, the male sperm would reach there quicker. The chance of having a boy increases.
The female sperm have shorter tails, but live longer. Therefore is you have intercourse 2/3 days before ovulation, by the time the egg is released many of the male sperms would have died off leaving more female sperms. In this case the chances of conceiving a girl increase.
The problems with this are:
1) You need to know the exact day of ovulation
2) It is not 100% accurate

Well i have heard alot of things if you have sex on the day that you actaully ovulate and the day after then you will have a good chance of having a boy if you have sex 2-3 days before you ovulate then you will have a good chance of having a girl the girl sperm is slow and the boys sperm is fast so if you have sex 2-3 days before you ovulate then the girls will have a better chance then the boys because the girls sperm had a boost and the boys die, But you do have a 50/50 chance of a boy or girl and there are a few other things if you have sex with the man on top then there sopposed to be a better chance but you can't get off so you have to keep him from getting you off, yeah i know that sucks but there's sopposed to be something in the womens *** that kills the girls, If you do doggie you'll have a better chance for a boy because it goes deeper, So best of luck to you and Godbless,

GMC is right. The X (female) chromosome swims slower than the Y (male) chromosome but the X's live longer. If you have sex before you ovulate your baby is more likely to be female becuz the Y chromosomes have died off. The X's are still alive inside you. If you have sex after you ovulate the faster swimmers (Y) will hit the egg first. I saw this on a baby show.

after sex-put a pillow under your butt or prop your feet up on the wall so your pelvis is tilted
eat healthy
back off caffiene
workout, even if its just a 20 minute walk a day, be active.

this is what i was told, but i dont know if its true.....
if you want a boy have sex ON the day of ovulation and the day after... if you want a girl have sex the 2 days before ovulation
something to do with female sperm are slower so they take longer to get to the egg, and while the lil boys are up there waiting for the egg they die off while the girls are still swimming.
if you have sex the day the egg is there waiting then the boys will make it there and the egg will be waiting on them.
something like that
never tried it but i have 2 girls :)

I don't know about how to ensure you conceive a girl - I've never done it.
I just know that having a baby son is the most lovely experience. Hope you're happy with whatever comes along.

Well if you aim for a girl you got a 50/50 chance of getting one.
