The general impression of "super power" is that of military and economic might. I believe a "super power" also has the fundamental responsibility to ensure that " all men are created equal" applies to all the nations on the face of the earth. It is a tremendous task to balance the requirements of all the nations to excercise their rights eqally socially, economically, militarily and in the practice of religious faiths without violating the rights of other nations or people. But it must be done for the "super power" to stay "super leader" with least provocation of violence.

No one had a tougher job than Ike to keep it all together and deal with all the personalities. At the top you had Roosevelt and Churchill and below that you had Bedell Smith under Ike...trying to control the super big egos of Montgomery and Patton...not to mention the task of assigning other competant oficers such as Omar Bradley to spearhead the Normandy invasion.
