talk to your manager about him. helps a lot. put it in a way that you don't offend him in front of your manager... else the manager might start picking on you.
also if possible try one-one with the guy himself... who knows what his problem is..

If I read this right you are the temp, and your partner is not. Well there is no reason to put up with this type of behavior. Not for a second. Generally temp agencies are supposed to be the guiding factor when things don't go well on an assigned job. Bring this problem to the attention of your staffing agent. A good temp agent is supposed to act on your behalf and contact the employer to resolve the situation. The agency is making money off of you and the temp agent should treat you with respect. You are helping to pay THEIR salaries. If they do not, and you don't feel comfortable complaining to the superior at the job, then ask to be assigned to another job. That is one of the perks of being a temp. You can move on.

If you are going through a temp service see if they can place you somewhere else. If you really like the company that you are with just not this guy, go to your supervisor. Be very mature, dont curse or whine. State specific examples of the other guys attitude problem and half *** work.

I recommend a sit-down with your co-worker. Let him know how you feel. Be as honest as you can be, but also non-confrontational. Start out by telling him you would really like to be able to work this out between the two of you, but if you can't come to a satisfactory resolution one-on-one with him, then you may need to involve the boss. Bottom line, you spend a lot of your life at your job, and if you can fix the problems, it makes those long hours a little easier! Good luck.

When a task comes up, look him in the eyes and say with a serious face "I got this. I'll take care of it."
I had a few bosses that micro-managed pretty bad and they stopped doing it after I did that then they saw that I would do a good job. The saw that I have initiative and didn't need suppervision all the time. I'm sure he'll get over it.

Sometimes companies will deal with people like this, sometimes they don't. One option is to be firm, put your foot down and tell him you will not put up with his crap. It may earn you some respect with him. I don't think it is right to tell his supervisor until you have made you issues clear with him first. And tell him if he doesn't you will go to the boss. I don't think your temp status would be an issue so don't let him blackmail you with that.

you need to speak with your boss or HR Manager. Just because you are a temp doesn't mean you have to take crap from everyone. Just make sure you are proving yourself to be a hard worker so that the complaint is taken more seriously.

well since you are working with a temp service, ask the temp service to send you to a different facility to work.

and don't worry about that jerk, his day will come. just like the people who fired me, they are loosing a lot of worker also. and they are the good workers.

good luck

If you are just a temp, consider transferring to another site. If you like it there, explain your problem to your supervisor. Sometimes we have to work with crappy people, but don't let it hinder you. Just do your part of the job and he will end up screwing himself over.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!

Either ignore him and put him in his palce by telling him "to get the hell over the fact that I work here too, so get your **** straight, stop telling me what the hell to do and do your frieking job the way its suppose to be done. ok?" :D if that doesnt work, kick his a*s or tell the real boss.
