I'm actually having twin girls due soon. I really like Andraya for one of the names but I'm having a difficult name for the second. Sound they match, start with the same letter, etc? To those that think they should be similar, do you know any names that sound alike but wont be to confusing.

Don't make the names too similar, since they'll be hard to say next to each other and sometimes confuse people when they want to talk to one of them. Twins still need some individuality, and I would avoid the same initials since that could cause problems once they're in school and having report cards and other documents that may use first initials.

Since the names will probably be said together, you may not want the second one to begin with the first letter as the other ends. Since Andraya starts with a vowel (a), I would suggest starting it with something that isn't a vowel (but not the letter B, so that the other one dosn't feel like a second place person).

I have relatives that went with Kendall & Kris. You could go with Andraya and Alexandria or Aerica.

I love the names Anya and Asia...but I'm into feminine yet slightly exotic sounding names. I don't think they necessarily have to be similar or even start wtih the same letter.

My sister is determined to have twin girls so that she can name them: Chloe and Cleo. lol

How about Abigail (Abby) or Annabelle (Anna, or Belle) Aubrey is pretty, Aniah (rhymes with Mariah) is what my friend is naming her daughter, or like others suggested, go with something completely different. How about a "Z" name? What is your heritage? Go with a cultural name. For instance my fiance is Irish, so if our baby is a girl, her middle name will be McKenna. Go through the baby name books, and websites. You'll find something you like.

Do yourself a favor and go to "Baby's named a bad, bad thing":

These are individuals you are naming - not a boxed set of something. The name is for the kid to live with - not for you to express just how badly you can spell or show the world your hormonal flights of fancy.

I don't think they should sound alike - but having the same initials is cute.
