I have been quit smoking for 3 month now and I have to buy insurance on my own due to job changes. one of the questions they asked is " if you smoked during last 12 months?" can I say no to the question. I know I will be lieing but the extra few bucks per month will really help me in my financial situation now.

thanks for any inputs!

You really should be honest with the Insurance company. If they find out then they can revoke your policy. They will request your medical file and may find out that way.

Well they can test your saliva for nicotine. If you have quit for 3 months it should not show up.

I would keep it to myself. Insurance companies are a tad bit crazy at times.
